- Supply inventory and barcode scan data
- Voice recordings for voice command functionality (processed locally, not stored)

The App may automatically collect:
- Device information (iOS version, device type)
- App usage analytics (feature usage, session statistics) - stored locally only
- Crash reports (anonymized, sent only with your permission)
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used exclusively to provide the App's functionality:
- Track your dialysis treatment adherence
- Provide voice-guided step-by-step instructions
- Generate session reports and analytics
- Manage dialysis supply inventory
- Enable you to share reports with your healthcare providers (only when you explicitly choose to)
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Local Storage
All your health data is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage (Core Data and encrypted UserDefaults). We do not have servers that collect or store your personal health information.
4.2 Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- Data is encrypted using iOS built-in encryption
- The App is protected by your device's passcode/biometric authentication
- Voice recognition processing is performed on-device only
- Photos are stored in the App's sandboxed container
4.3 iCloud Backup
If you have iCloud backup enabled on your device, your App data may be included in iCloud backups. This is controlled by your device settings, not by the App. iCloud backups are encrypted and managed by Apple according to their privacy policy.
5. Information Sharing
5.1 No Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal health information with third parties for marketing purposes.
5.2 User-Initiated Sharing
The App allows you to share information only when you explicitly choose to:
- Email session reports to your healthcare providers
- Export data for your own records
- Email supply orders to your nurse or dialysis center
These actions use your device's native email functionality. We do not receive copies of these communications.
5.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, but since we do not collect or store your data on our servers, we have no access to your health information to disclose.
6. Third-Party Services
6.1 FDA GUDID Database
The App may connect to the FDA's Global Unique Device Identification Database (GUDID) to retrieve medical device information when you scan barcodes. These queries do not include your personal information.
6.2 Apple Services
The App uses Apple's native services:
- Speech recognition (on-device processing)
- Camera and photo library access (with your permission)
- Email integration (using your device's mail app)
7. Your Rights and Choices
7.1 Access and Control
You have complete control over your data:
- View all stored information within the App settings
- Edit or delete any information at any time
- Export your data for personal records
- Delete all data by using the "Delete My Data" option in settings
7.2 Permissions
You can manage App permissions in your device settings:
- Camera (for barcode scanning and photo documentation)
- Microphone (for voice commands)
- Speech recognition (for voice guidance)
- Photo library (to save and attach photos)
8. Children's Privacy
Dial-Assist is not intended for use by individuals under 13 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information through the App, please contact us, and we will provide guidance on deleting the data from the device.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
- Providing an in-app notification for material changes
